D4 Star Sailors,
Due to the current COVID situation, there have been significant revisions to this years Vortriede Memorial/ Icebreaker. As previously notified, the dates were changed to Oct 10-11. This as most are aware, was out of our control as we are guests of the Detroit Thistle Fleet. This date is a conflict with the documented Springfield dates.
The event has been reduced to a one (1) day event to be held on Saturday October 10th. Due to the restrictions within CSYC, the group felt best to mitigate risk, eliminating all the usual social events and to keep the focus on 1 day of sailing. Please see the attached NOR. We understand the time associated with travel and 1 day events are a challenge. However, we will be sailing 3-5 races and would love to have all in for the day. We can and will safely improvise.
